AUTUMN SPLENDOR SUGAR MAPLE

The Autumn Splendor Sugar Maple is a large shade tree that is noteworthy for its resistance to southern summer heat and drought. It has a broad oval to round habit with glossy, dark green summer foliage that turns a beautiful mix of yellow, orange and red in fall.

The Autumn Splendor Sugar Maple should be grown in full sun. It prefers well-drained soil with relatively low acidity. Sugar Maples are an amazing tree, but they do not perform well in poorly drained areas, salt or air pollution. Give this majestic shade tree a great, elevated spot and room to grow, and you and others will enjoy its beauty for generations to come.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
