The Autumn Splendor Sugar Maple is a large shade tree that is noteworthy for its resistance to southern summer heat and drought. It has a broad oval to round habit with glossy, dark green summer foliage that turns a beautiful mix of yellow, orange and red in fall.
The Autumn Splendor Sugar Maple should be grown in full sun. It prefers well-drained soil with relatively low acidity. Sugar Maples are an amazing tree, but they do not perform well in poorly drained areas, salt or air pollution.
