TSUKUSHI GATA JAPANESE MAPLE

The Tsukushi Gata Japanese Maple is unique in that it has almost black spring leaves with lime green veins creating a striking contrast. The lush, star-shaped leaves hold its surprising color and then slowly age to dark green in mid summer, maturing to bright red in fall. Showy, smooth green bark adds significant winter interest.

The Tsukushi Gata thrives in part sun in moist, fertile, well-drained soils.
