RYUSEN WEEPING JAPANESE MAPLE

Acer palmatum 'Ryusen' PP18501 is commonly referred to as Ryusen Weeping Japanese Maple. This magnificent selection has a fantastic weeping habit with palmately divided bright green leaves in late spring. Foliage turns showy shades of golden-orange and bright red in fall. They will grow to approximately 7-8 feet tall with a spread of 7 feet, making it great for containers, bonsai and small gardens.

Ryusen Japanese Maple thrives in full sun to partial shade in slightly acidic, well-draining soils. It will benefit from protection against drying winds and harsh afternoon sun exposure.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
