RED DRAGON JAPANESE MAPLE

The Red Dragon Japanese Maple is a compact, slow-growing, dissected form Japanese Maple with an upright-pendulous, rounded mound that grows to 7-8 feet. Deeply cut, lace-leaf foliage emerge bright scarlet in spring turning a rich burgundy red through summer, and maturing bright red again in fall. Leaves retain good color throughout the growing season.

The Red Dragon thrives in full to part sun in moist, well-drained soils. This beautiful Japanese Maple is ideal in containers or as the focal point in a garden landscape.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
