Grower Notes:

Quercus acutissima is commonly called Sawtooth Oak, this medium sized native oak typically grows 40-60' tall with a broad-spreading, rounded crown. Gray to black bark develops corky ridging with age. Chestnut-like glossy dark green leaves.

Best grown in rich, humusy, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Known for its abundant production of acorns. The first crop of acorns may occur at 10 years of growth.
