BLOOMIN EASY® LAVALAMP™ CANDELABRA® PANICLE HYDRANGEA

Hydrangea paniculata 'Hpopro13' is commonly referred to as Lavalamp™ Candelabra® Panicle Hydrangea. Amply named, this hardy variety is part of the Bloomin' Easy® Lavalamp™ collection that features an amazing display of candle-shaped blooms that start creamy white and transition to bright red as summer fades. Blooms are held on sturdy red stems which add to its interest.

Panicle Hydrangeas, such as the Lavalamp™ Candelabra®, bloom on new growth, typically flowering normally even if cut back or killed by frost the previous season. It thrives in filtered sun in rich, organic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. The Candelabra® Hydrangea will certainly catch your attention and should be placed where everyone can see it.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil in a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Water regularly until established; once mature, this variety is adaptable and reasonably drought-tolerant. Prune in late winter or early spring to shape and encourage strong new growth, as this plant flowers on "new wood." Provide structural support for larger cultivars, as their heavy flower heads may require staking if exposed to high winds or heavy rain.
