Hibiscus syriacus 'Ardens' is commonly known as Ardens Rose of Sharon. This deciduous shrub has a compact, dense habit with lavender pink double flowers adorned with darker veins in their center. It blooms profusely from early summer to fall; each beautiful flower lasts one day. Maple-like green leaves hold up well in the heat and are deer resistant.
