Enkianthus campanulata 'Showy Lantern' is commonly referred to as Showy Lantern Redvein Enkianthus or Showy Lantern Furin-Tsutsuji. It is an narrow upright, deciduous shrub that is native to Japan. It features a fantastic display of large pink to cherry red flowers in late spring. Dark green summer leaves turn an impressive red and orange in fall.
Showy Lantern thrives in part shade in average, acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
