Zone: 4CANDY MOUNTAIN FOXGLOVE
Digitalis purpurea 'Candy Mountain' is commonly referred to as Candy Mountain Common Foxglove. This biennial perennial features sturdy, upright spikes of rose-pink, bell-shaped, tubular flowers with light pink speckled throats from early summer to mid-summer. Flowers attract hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators while the seedheads bring in all the birds later in fall. This helps the plant self-seed for future flower colonies.
Candy Mountain Foxglove is deer and rabbit tolerant and thrives in partial shade, but can tolerate full sun. It is easy to grow and is ideal for beds, borders and naturalized areas with dappled sun. Remember: It is highly toxic by ingestion for humans and animals.
