ROYAL FROST® BIRCH

Royal Frost ornamental birch is a cross between Betula 'Crimson Frost' and Betula populifolia 'Whitespire'. It has an upright, pyramidal habit with burgundy-bronze foliage throughout the summer. Nice yellow-orange to orange-red fall color contrasts well with its attractive white bark.

Royal Frost birch thrives in moist, acidic, sandy, well-drained soils in sun to part shade. An excellent tree for northern climates. It benefits from consistent moisture.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
