It is noteworthy for its fragrant, creamy white flower plumes that appear from bright green pearl-shaped buds on a compact plant in early summer. It is part of the Younique™ series of Astilbe that are known for producing double the amount of flowers on a well-proportioned, compact plant.
Younique™ White Astilbe is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in the shady spot of your garden. It requires rich, fertile, evenly moist soils. It will not tolerate drought conditions. Companion plants for Astilbe include other moisture lovers such as: Brunnera, Lobelia, Rhododendron, Hosta, Ferns, Heuchera, Ligularia and Japanese and Siberian Iris.
