Angelonia Archangel™ Cherry Red is a vibrant powerhouse in the garden, boasting some of the most intensely colored and largest blooms of the Summer Snapdragon® series. Its flowers are a rich, saturated cherry-red that holds its brilliance even under the intense glare of the summer sun. Reaching a sturdy height of 12 to 14 inches with a tidy, well-branched spread, it produces numerous vertical spikes that are crowded with blossoms. Its deep green, lanceolate foliage provides a lush backdrop, making the bold red flowers pop in mass plantings or as a centerpiece in mixed patio planters.
To keep Angelonia Archangel™ Cherry Red looking its best, it should be situated in a spot that receives full sun for at least six to eight hours a day. It is highly valued for its ability to thrive in extreme heat and humidity, remaining upright and colorful when other plants might struggle. It prefers well-drained soil and benefits from regular watering, though it is quite forgiving of occasional dry spells once the root system is established. Like others in its series, it is self-cleaning and does not require deadheading to stay productive, though a balanced fertilizer application every few weeks will help sustain its heavy blooming cycle until the first frost of autumn.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide indirect sunlight and maintain a temperature between 65-75F degrees. Fertilize regularly with a balanced fertilizer. No deadheading required as it self-cleans!
