COMMEMORATION® SUGAR MAPLE

Commemoration Sugar Maple is a fast growing, dense deciduous tree with a oval form and a symmetrical canopy. It is a fantastic shade tree with heavy, leathery, dark green leaves that are resistant to leaf tatter. In fall it transforms into fiery orange, deep yellow and red and holds its color well into autumn.

Commemoration Sugar Maple grows best in full sun in well-drained soil. This is a superb shade tree that colors faster and holds its color longer than others.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
