TURKISH FILBERT

Turkish Filbert, also called Turkish Hazel, is a pyramidal deciduous tree with a short trunk with dense, horizontal, low branching. Its trunk is mottled gray that flakes to reveal inner orange-brown coloring. Clusters of edible nuts can be roasted and eaten or left to the squirrels.

Turkish Filbert thrives in full sun and well-drained, dryer sites. Outstanding tolerance to drought and alkaline soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering.
