PINK CAT CATMINT
Nepeta nervosa 'Pink Cat' is a delightful departure from the typical, blue-toned catmints, offering a profusion of dense, soft pink flower spikes that provide a romantic, airy feel to the garden. Reaching a compact height of 12 to 15 inches, it forms a sturdy, mounded clump of textured, mint-scented green foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season. Unlike the more sprawling faassenii varieties, 'Pink Cat' is known for its upright, branching stems that keep the flowers prominently displayed above the leaves. It is an exceptional choice for gardeners looking to attract pollinators, as the rosy-pink blooms are a favorite for bees and butterflies from early summer well into the autumn.
The ideal spot for 'Pink Cat' is in full sun with well-drained soil, though it is remarkably adaptable and can tolerate a variety of soil types, including those that are slightly leaner or rocky.
