UPRIGHT BROAD NORWAY SPRUCE
Picea abies 'Cobra' is commonly referred to as the Cobra Norway Spruce. What a wildly unique, pendulous selection! It features a staked central leader that develops snake-like extensions of growth. It is a crazy cross between Picea abies 'Pendula' and Picea abies 'Virgata'. When staked, this tree grows more upright with branches that have snake-like extensions that branch out and droop to the ground. The terminal leader will eventually bend over, returning to the ground. Other growth growing along the ground combines with the rest, creating a beautiful, large needle skirt that spreads outward. Wow, what a Look! The Cobra Norway Spruce thrives in full sun in moist, well-drained soils.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
