ACCOLADE HYBRID ELM
Similar in form to American Elm, the Accolade has a vase shape and typically grows 50-60 ft tall and 30-40 ft wide. It has glossy dark green foliage that turns to a nice yellow fall color. Will tolerate dry conditions and is resistant to Dutch elm disease, Phloem Necrosis, and elm leaf beetle. This vigorous grower is useful as a street, parkway or shade tree. Believed to have been a hybrid of the Japanese Elm - Ulmus davidiana var. japonica and the Wilson's Elm.

Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
