Midnight Wine Shine® Weigela florida 'SMNWFMS' USPP 26,922, Can 5,944 is more commonly known as Midnight Wine Shine® Weigela. If you loved Midnight Wine® Weigela, you will love this selection even more! Bred specifically for its distinct foliage and disease resistance, Midnight Wine Shine® boasts darker, shinier leaves with excellent hardiness through fall. Bright pink trumpet shaped flowers appear in spring and contrast well with the dark foliage. It is one of the first Weigela to bloom each spring.
Midnight Wine Shine® Weigela is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in slight alkaline (pH 5.5-7.5), evenly moist, well-drained soils. Ideal as a hedge, for edging and massed for a color effect.
