Sesleria 'Green Lee' is commonly known as Greenlee Moor Grass. It is a densely tufted evergreen perennial grass that forms a compact clump of blue-green leaves. It is taller than Sesleria caerulea and shorter and denser than Sesleria autumnalis. In midsummer, delicate pale purple flower spikes rise above the foliage. Flowers fade to purplish brown seed heads.
Greenlee Moor Grass is a cool-season grass and best planted in fall or spring. It is easy to grow and maintain. It thrives in full to partial sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-draining soils. Perfect as an erosion control ground cover.

Sesleria (Moor Grass) is a versatile, cool-season grass prized for its adaptability and its tendency to remain semi-evergreen, offering year-round visual interest. It forms neat, compact tufts that are excellent for groundcovers or edging. Unlike many other grasses, Sesleria is quite tolerant of different soil conditions, including heavy clay, and provides an early flush of growth in the spring. Maintenance is minimal; simply use a hand rake to gently comb through the clump in early spring to remove winter-damaged foliage rather than cutting it to the ground.
