FULDA GLOW STONECROP

Sedum spurium 'Fulda Glow' (also known as 'Fuldaglut') is an exceptional, low-growing groundcover that provides intense, dark foliage and a rugged performance in the garden. This improved selection of 'Dragon's Blood' is prized for its more consistent, deep bronze-red color that persists throughout the spring and summer. Growing only 3 to 6 inches tall, it forms a dense, weed-suppressing mat of succulent, scalloped leaves. In mid-summer, the foliage is topped with brilliant, star-shaped rose-red flowers that create a high-contrast display and serve as a favorite for pollinators.

For the most vibrant red foliage and the tightest mounding habit, plant 'Fulda Glow' in a location that receives full sun. It is a remarkably hardy and drought-tolerant perennial that thrives in average to poor, well-drained soil, making it a reliable choice for rock gardens, stone wall crevices, or as a colorful filler between stepping stones. As temperatures drop in fall and winter, the foliage often intensifies to an even deeper burgundy, providing excellent late-season interest. Maintenance is very simple-just clear away any winter debris in early spring to allow the rich, colorful new growth to emerge.
