Zone: 5VERANDA® SUNBEAM™ SHRUB ROSE
Rosa Sunbeam® Veranda™ is a radiant addition to the Veranda™ collection, celebrated for its ability to bring high-intensity color to small spaces. It produces clear, bright yellow double blooms that are remarkably color-fast, resisting the bleaching effects of the sun to remain a vivid lemon hue throughout their life cycle. The flowers are medium-sized and slightly cupped, appearing in consistent flushes from late spring until the first hard frost. With a compact and mounded habit that typically reaches only 2 feet in height and width, it is specifically designed for container gardening, balconies, or the front of a garden border.
Sunbeam® Veranda™ rose is prized not just for its cheery color, but for its exceptional durability and modern disease resistance. The foliage is a very dark, glossy green that provides a sharp, clean contrast to the golden-yellow blossoms. It is highly resistant to black spot and mildew, allowing it to maintain a lush appearance even in humid conditions without the need for intensive chemical treatments. Sunbeam® Veranda™ thrives in full sun and well-drained soil; a light pruning in early spring is all that is required to encourage a fresh, vigorous display of its signature sun-drenched blooms.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
