FROSTY® WHITE CINQUEFOIL

Frosty® Potentilla (Potentilla fruticosa 'Monsidh') is a cheerful, low-maintenance shrub that brings a burst of brightness and reliable color to any garden. This compact and rounded variety of potentilla is a standout for its incredibly long blooming season, producing an abundance of showy white flowers from early summer through first frost. The pure white blossoms create a beautiful contrast against its fine-textured, silvery-green foliage, providing a consistently neat and attractive appearance that makes it perfect for adding a touch of elegance to the landscape.

Exceptionally tough and adaptable, Frosty® Potentilla is a resilient choice for a wide range of climates and conditions. It thrives in full sun but is tolerant of a variety of soil types and urban pollution. Its compact size makes it an ideal plant for creating beautiful low hedges, edging walkways, or filling in gaps in perennial borders. It is deer-resistant and drought-tolerant, and a hassle-free solution for adding season-long color and texture to your yard.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in average, well-draining soil, selecting a location that receives full sun to light shade. While these shrubs are incredibly durable and heat-tolerant, they perform best and maintain the most prolific bloom production when grown in full sun. Ensure consistent water during the first season of establishment to support root development, though they become highly drought-tolerant once fully settled. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead wood and encourage a compact, dense habit. These shrubs can become leggy over time, so cutting them back periodically helps maintain their vigor and shape. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, taking care to keep the material a few inches away from the crown to prevent stem rot.
