Physocarpus opulifolius 'SMPOTW' PP26749 Proven Winners® Color Choice® Tiny Wine® is a dwarf ninebark with small, dark maroon to bronze foliage that stays colorful all season and contrasts well with its dainty white to pale pink flowers in late spring. Tiny Wine® is perfect for when you do not have room for the larger 'Diabolo' or 'Summer Wine' but want the look and color Physocarpus is known for. Ninebark is named for its exfoliating bark on mature branches which peels away revealing reddish brown inner bark.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with full sun to partial shade (full sun brings out the best foliage color). Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Mulch around the base to retain moisture. Prune immediately after the spring flowering period to maintain shape and encourage dense growth; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
