It is a highly adaptable shrub that features a multitude of star-shaped pink blooms with yellow throats starting in early summer.
Jolene Jolene Beauty Bush is a tough, easy to grow Proven Winners® selection that is ideal as a foundation plant, hedge or specimen plant. It even grows well under trees. It thrives in full to part sun in average, well-drained soil. It blooms on old wood so pruning after flowering is desired.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in average, well-draining soil, selecting a site that receives full sun to partial shade. While it is adaptable to various soil types, providing full sun exposure is the key to maximizing its profuse, bell-shaped floral display each spring. Ensure consistent moisture during the first year of establishment to encourage deep roots, though this shrub becomes quite drought-tolerant once it is fully settled. Prune immediately after the flowering period concludes, as blossoms are produced on the previous year's wood. Removing a portion of the oldest, woody canes down to the ground helps keep the shrub vigorous and promotes a graceful, arching habit rather than allowing it to become overgrown and leggy. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, ensuring the material remains a few inches away from the crown to prevent stem rot.
