GREENMOUND DWARF JUNIPER
Juniperus procumbens 'Ground Mound' is commonly referred to as Greenmound Juniper or Green Mound Japanese Garden Juniper. It is a compact, mounding, prostrate, mat-forming groundcover with bright green foliage that is stiff, making it excellent for bonsai. This selection is low maintenance and keeps it color through winter with very little bronzing. Its dense, low habit is excellent for keeping weeds down and for erosion control.
Green Mound Garden Juniper thrives in full sun in slightly alkaline, sandy, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once it is established.
