FROSTKISS® VIBEY VELVET PINK LENTEN ROSE

Helleborus Frostkiss® 'Vibey Velvet' is an absolute beauty for the cold-season garden, bringing an incredibly rich and moody pop of color when the rest of the landscape is completely dormant. Like its siblings in the premium Frostkiss® lineup, this variety features exceptionally strong, upright, deep-red stems that hold its large, cupped flowers completely outward-facing rather than nodding toward the ground. The flowers are a breathtaking, deep velvety burgundy-red or magenta-plum that dramatically brightens up shady garden spots from late winter through spring. Even when it finishes blooming, 'Vibey Velvet' acts as a stunning year-round structural anchor thanks to its leathery, thick evergreen foliage that is marbled with silvery-green veins.

In terms of home garden care, 'Vibey Velvet' forms a highly manageable, compact, and tidy mound reaching about 15 to 18 inches tall and 24-30 inches wide, making it perfect for front-of-the-border spacing, shaded pathways, or cold-tolerant patio containers. The ideal spot is a location with partial shade to dappled sun, though it possesses excellent hybrid vigor and can handle a bit more sunlight than traditional hellebores if the soil stays consistently moist. It thrives best in rich, organic, well-draining soil and is wonderfully resistant to both deer and rabbits, though it absolutely demands good drainage to avoid soggy roots.
