The Autumn Gold Ginkgo is a large, deciduous tree that is considered to be a living fossil. It is an ancient plant that is believed to have inhabited earth up to 150 million years ago. It is an all-male cultivar that has symmetrical branching. Green leaves have a unique, fan-shaped form and turn a brilliant yellow in fall that persists for weeks.
The Autumn Gold Ginkgo is ideal as a residential shade tree for city parks and even commercial buildings. Autumn Gold thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soils.
