FAGUS SYL RIVERSII
Grower Notes:

Fagus sylvatica 'Riversii' is commonly known as the Riversii Purple European Beech or River's Purple Beech. This majestic specimen has a dense, broad crown and glossy, purple leaves that emerge deep purple in spring and fade to purple green in summer. When autumn approaches, the foliage turns a nice copper bronze. It has the deepest purple foliage of any purple-leafed beech. Its smooth, pale gray bark just adds to its interest, especially in winter.

The River's Purple Beech thrives in full to part sun in average, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate wet, poorly drained soils.
