Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Gold Mop' is commonly referred to as the Gold Mop Sawara Falsecypress. It is a mounded, slow-growing dwarf shrub with stringy, whip-like golden yellow foliage. It retains its yellow color through the seasons. Filifera means string or cord-like and refers to its unique foliage.
The Gold Mop Sawara Falsecypress enjoys full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for rock gardens and Asian themed gardens.
