Campsis x tagliabuana 'Kudian' PP13139 is commonly referred to as Indian Summer® Trumpetvine or Indian Summer® Trumpetcreeper. It is a beautiful hybrid between Campsis radicans (American Trumpetvine) and Campsis grandiflora (Chinese Trumpetvine). It is vigorous, self-clinging woody climber and prolific bloomer with large three inch, trumpet-shaped, orange flowers that hummingbirds love! It blooms from summer to early fall and maintains a compact form with strong stems to hold its blooms.
Indian Summer® Trumpetvine thrives in full to part sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is perfect for patios, containers and borders.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in moderately fertile, well-draining soil, selecting a location in full sun to partial shade for the best flower production. These hardy, heat-tolerant vines are highly adaptable, though they require consistent water during the first growing season until the root system is well established. Because they climb by aerial rootlets, ensure you provide a sturdy support structure like a fence, trellis, or arbor, as their rapid growth can become quite heavy over time.
Prune aggressively in late winter or early spring to control spread and stimulate new growth, as flowers are produced on current-season wood. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, taking care to keep the material a few inches away from the crown to prevent stem rot.
