Aster 'Tiny Tot' (often classified under Symphyotrichum) is a showy, dwarf perennial that packs a powerful punch despite its small stature. Living up to its name, 'Tiny Tot' typically reaches a height of only 6 to 12 inches, forming a tidy, mounded cushion of fine, lance-shaped green foliage. In late summer and throughout fall, 'Tiny Tot' transforms into a solid carpet of vibrant violet-blue flowers with bright yellow centers. Because it blooms when many other garden plants are beginning to fade, 'Tiny Tot' is a critical late-season nectar source for bees and butterflies preparing for the colder months.
Aster 'Tiny Tot' thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. It is relatively hardy and appreciates consistent moisture especially during the heat of mid-summer to ensure a prolific flower show in fall.
