Aster dumosus 'Sapphire' PPAF is commonly referred to as Kickin™ Sapphire™ Aster. This easy to grow Aster is part of the Kickin™ series of Asters that feature a compact, bushy habit with a profusion of flowers from late summer to fall. Sapphire™ Aster produces dark blue-violet flowers with small yellow centers. Flowers blanket their bright green foliage, creating a splash of color when other perennials have long bid adieu.
Kickin™ Sapphire™ Aster is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is perfect in mass plantings or along borders, rock gardens and containers.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun with well-draining soil. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Divide and replant every 3-4 years to maintain vigor.
