NODDING ORNEMENTAL ONION
Allium cernuum is more commonly known as the Nodding Onion. Nodding Onions are noteworthy for their unique flowers. Their umbels face downward and look like they are 'nodding'. Pretty star-like pom-pom pink blooms hang from hooked stems providing easy pollination for bees, butterflies and other insects.
Nodding Onions are deer resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. The stems are edible and can be used like chives.
