UENO YAMA JAPANESE MAPLE

Acer palmatum 'Ueno Yama' is a unique Japanese Maple which features emerging vivid orange leaf color with red edging in spring. The red tinged leaves emerge earlier than most other maples including 'Orange Dream' and Katsura'. Leaves change to bright yellow-green and then to green through summer, returning to a showy orange and red in fall.

Ueno Yama Japanese Maple thrives in filtered sun in moist, rich, well-drained soil. It is ideal for Asian-themed gardens and containers.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
