HOT WINGS® TATARIAN MAPLE

The Hot Wings® Tatarian Maple is a small ornamental tree that has a unique color display throughout its growing season. Spring brings clusters of yellow and white flowers that cover the tree when the leaves appear. Flowers fade to fiery red samaras which contrast with its bright green foliage making a fantastic Christmas in July color effect. Come fall, this beautiful tree transforms yet again with showy orange and red fall color. This is an ideal tree for residential areas and city parks.

Hot Wings&174 Tatarian Maple thrives in full to part sun in average to dry locations as it dislikes excessive moisture. It is tolerant of urban pollution and will thrive in city environments.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH, and ensure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune any dead or damaged branches in late winter or early spring.
