REDMOND AMERICAN LINDEN
The Redmond American Linden is also known as Tilia x euchlora 'Redmond'. It is an upright, pyramidal deciduous tree that can grow up to 70 feet tall and 30-45 feet wide. It features large, glossy, light green, heart-shaped leaves that turn bright yellow in fall. In spring, attractive 2-3 inch clusters of fragrant, light yellow blooms attract all the pollinators. Later, small gray nuts persist on the tree until midwinter adding winter interest.
The stately Redmond makes an attractive shade tree with a uniform straight trunk and elegant branch structure. It enjoys full sun in average, well-drained soils. This is a striking specimen for all seasons!
