Lilium asiatic 'Tiny Ghost' is a stunning, compact dwarf lily known for its exceptionally rich, dark coloration. A member of the popular Lily Looks™ series, this Asiatic hybrid is low-maintenance, perfectly sized for containers or border edging, and is generally deer-resistant. It typically grows to a height of just 12 to 15 inches and produces its bold, upward-facing blooms in mid-summer. The flowers feature a vivid deep reddish-purple or burgundy hue, often with subtle speckling, contrasting beautifully with the plant's glossy, deep green foliage.
For optimal growth, plant 'Tiny Ghost' in a location that receives full sun to partial shade (at least 4-6 hours of sun daily). It requires well-drained soil - wet, soggy conditions will cause the bulb to rot, so ensure your pot or garden bed has excellent drainage. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged throughout the growing season. After blooming, be sure to deadhead the spent flowers, but allow the stem and leaves to yellow and die back naturally in the fall. This essential step ensures the bulb stores enough energy to return with its magnificent "ghostly" blooms the following year.
