Zone: 5SNOW FLURRY HEATH ASTER
Aster ericoides f. prostratum 'Snow Flurry' is commonly referred to as Snow Flurry Heath Aster. This classic aster variety features a very low, dense, compact, prostrate groundcover with white star-like flowers with gold centers from late summer to early fall. It only grows 6-9 inches tall with a 18-24 inch spread. When not in bloom, its gray-green, mildrew resistant foliage resembles a groundcover juniper.
Snow Flurry Heath Aster thrives in sunny locations in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is one of only seven asters to receive the prestigious five-star rating in the Chicago Botanical Garden Aster Trial.
