Fragaria x ananassa 'Quinault' is a premier everbearing strawberry variety developed by Washington State University, cherished for its unique ability to produce fruit on unrooted runners. This distinctive trait makes it an ideal "spiller" for hanging baskets and strawberry pots, as the berries will cascade down the sides of the container even if the runners haven't touched soil. 'Quinault' Strawberries produce large, deep red, heart-shaped berries that are remarkably sweet and firm, offering a classic aromatic flavor. Unlike June-bearing types that provide only one large flush of fruit, 'Quinault' delivers a heavy crop in late spring followed by smaller flushes throughout the summer and a final significant harvest in the autumn.
