ICE CREAM DREAM SHASTA DAISY -
9-12 Inches Tall 15-18 Inches Wide--
Leucanthemum 'Ice Cream Dream' is more commonly known as Ice Cream Dream Shasta Daisy. It is a very compact and visually unique Shasta Daisy that offers a delicious color shift during its long bloom period. It is cherished for its fully double, dense flowers that resemble a scoop of ice cream. The blooms start as intense lemon-yellow buds that open to a creamy color and then expand into near-white, fluffy, 2-3-inch flowers with a small yellow center. This color transition creates a multi-toned effect on the plant. It's a petite variety, typically growing only 9–12 inches tall with a neat, mounding spread of 15–18 inches.
Ideal for the front of a border, rock gardens, or containers, 'Ice Cream Dream' Shasta Daisy blooms profusely from early to mid-summer and into fall, especially with deadheading. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5–9 and requires full sun and well-drained soil. Like all Shasta Daisies, excellent winter drainage is crucial to prevent the plant's crown from rotting. It's a great choice for attracting butterflies and making attractive, long-lasting cut flowers.
Leucanthemum x superbum 'Ice Cream Dream'
Light Requirements: Full Sun
Color Attribute: white flower
US Hardiness Zone: 5
