Paeonia 'Kansas' is widely considered the gold standard for red double peonies, having won the prestigious American Peony Society Gold Medal in 1957. This early-to-midseason bloomer produces massive, symmetrical double flowers in a brilliant, clear watermelon-red that remains vivid and resists fading even in the brightest sunlight.
