This Proven Winners® selection is a unique non-vining herbaceous selection with bluish-purple bell-shaped blooms in late spring with an occasional rebloom in late summer. It stands erect when young, maturing to a bush habit. Like most perennials, Stand by Me will die back to the ground in fall.
Stand by Me Clematis is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun, but will tolerate some light shade. It desires rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil for it to thrive.
