Leucanthemum 'Real Charmer' is more commonly known as 'Real Charmer' Shasta Daisy. It is a sophisticated Shasta Daisy known for its multi-hued, frilly flowers that add texture and prolonged color to the garden. It is part of the disease-resistant Realflor® series.
The large, 3-inch, semi-double flowers exhibit a captivating color change: the outer petals are a creamy ivory that quickly mature to white, while the center is filled with smaller, brightly fringed, lemon-yellow petals surrounding a darker golden eye. This mingling of yellow and white gives the bloom a unique, vibrant look.
'Real Charmer' has a sturdy, upright, clumping habit, reaching a height of 18–24 inches with a spread of 12–18 inches. It boasts an extended bloom period, starting in early summer and continuing to rebloom through early fall with regular deadheading. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5–9 and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Like other Shasta Daisies, it's an excellent choice for cut flowers, borders, containers, and is attractive to butterflies. Its sturdy stems rarely need staking.
