BIRDS NEST SPRUCE -
3-4 Feet Tall 4-5 Feet Wide--
Picea abies 'Nidiformis' is commonly referred to as the Bird's Nest Spruce. This beauty resembles a bird's nest with its depression in the middle of its flat top, thus its common name. It is a dwarf, spreading evergreen shrub and features dense, horizontal layers of branches covered with green needles.
The Nidiformis Bird's Nest Spruce thrives in full sun in evenly moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. It prefers cooler climates and may struggle in hot and humid areas. Over time it will become more wide than tall.
