CITYLINE® PARIS BIGLEAF HYDRANGEA

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Paris Rapa' Proven Winners® Color Choice® Cityline® Paris is commonly referred to as Cityline® Paris Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® selection displays a compact habit with large red mophead flowers on strong stems - the reddest hydrangea out there! The blooms change to an attractive green as they mature. The dark green foliage is mildew resistant and has a nice, small, compact habit.

Cityline® Paris Hydrangea keeps its red color in most any soils, developing only purplish centers in acidic soils. It thrives in part sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for containers, borders or massed in the landscape.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining, rich soil protected from the hot afternoon sun. For pink and blue Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, bloom color is pH-dependent; keep soil slightly acidic for blue tones or adjust toward neutral for pink. White varieties remain stable regardless of pH. Water consistently to maintain soil moisture, as this variety is sensitive to drying out. Mulch around the base to keep roots cool and moist.
