Cornus florida 'Appalachian Mist' PP13098 is commonly referred to as Appalachian Mist Flowering Dogwood. This native dogwood features four, large creamy white, stiff bracts with purple clefts that surround small clusters of greenish flowers in early spring. Flowers attract honeybees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Its medium green foliage turns red in fall. Red fruit attracts hungry birds.
Appalachian Mist Flowering Dogwood has excellent resistance to powdery mildew and thrives in full to partial sun in rich, acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
