CORNUS MAS
Grower Notes:

The Cornelian Cherry Dogwood is a deciduous shrub or small tree that has exfoliating, scaly bark that develops over time. In early spring, it develops yellow flowers on small stalks followed by small, cherry-like red fruit in mid summer. Typically multi-stemmed with a very short main truck.

Cornus mas is noted for its resistance to dogwood anthracnose and dogwood borer. It is valued for its very early spring bloom and works best as a hedge, foundation plant or in naturalized areas.
