Loropetalum var. rubrum 'Hines Puprle Leaf' is commonly referred to as Plum Delight™ Chinese Fringe Flower. It is a broadleaf evergreen shrub native to Japan with a USDA Hardiness Zone of 7. It can grow 6-8 feet tall and wide and boasts deep burgundy foliage and clusters of large dark pink, finger-like flowers from Spring to mid-summer attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.
Plum Delight™ Fringe-Flower is easy to grow and deer resistant. It enjoys full sun to partial shade in nutrient-rich, lightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Ideal as a focal point but can also be utilized as a hedge.
