FYRE WING™ HEMATITE CORAL BELLS -
12-15 Inches Tall 6-12 Inches Wide--
Heuchera FYRE WING™ 'Hematite' represents a groundbreaking leap in coral bell breeding from Terra Nova Nurseries. Departing entirely from the traditional rounded or lobed leaves typical of the genus, 'Hematite' introduces a deeply cut, lacy silhouette that closely resembles the delicate foliage of a cutleaf Japanese maple or a fanciful "dragon wing". The foliage emerges in saturated tones of oxblood and deep cordovan red, accented by subtle copper highlights at the tips of each lobed segment. Forming a tidy, compact mound reaching approximately 12-15 inches tall with a 6-11 inch spread, it produces slender stems of small white blooms in late spring that rise to around 10 inches, serving as a soft, pollinator-friendly contrast to the intense red framework beneath.
Cultivating 'Hematite' successfully centers on soil structure and crown placement. Like many Heuchera villosa hybrids, it requires loose, organically enriched, well-draining soil with average moisture; soggy roots or buried crowns will quickly invite root rot.
The ideal spot for Fyre Wing™ Hematite Coral Bells is a partial-shade site receiving morning sun with protection from intense, scorching afternoon light. consistent.
