Luminary® OPALESCENCE GARDEN PHLOX -
24-30 Inches Tall 24-30 Inches Wide--
Phlox paniculata Luminary® Opalescence is an award-winning tall garden phlox that anchors the summer perennial border with its upright, sturdy habit and rich dark green foliage. It blooms from mid-summer through early fall, producing large, dense panicles of soft light pink flowers highlighted by contrasting dark pink eyes. Highly valued for its stellar resistance to powdery mildew, Luminary® Opalescence brings both height and a sweet, heady fragrance to the landscape while actively drawing in a heavy flurry of butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.
For peak performance, plant Luminary® Opalescence in an ideal spot that receives full sun to part sun with rich, consistently moist, and well-drained soil. Good air circulation is essential to maintain its foliage health, so avoid overcrowding it among dense shrubs. Care involves providing regular moisture during dry conditions, preferably avoiding overhead watering, alongside cutting the stems back to the ground in late winter or early spring to prep for the next season of robust growth.
